Fabrication process
> Purchase of forged raw material from Italy / Europe. > Pre machining of the wheel leaving over metal of 5 mm on the housing of the axle. > Heat treatment by low-frequency ring hardening at 450/500 HB hardness with 10/12 mm depth or by customer’s needs. > Final machining of the wheel as by the drawing. > Marking of the wheels (if requested). > Assembling of all the component of the wheel group (cover, bearing houses, shafts…..). > Painting process. > Tectyl protection applied on the groove and on the drive shaft of the wheel group.
Metal and hardening of every single wheel can be certified thanks to a non-destructive test method allowing to measure case-hardened depth without cutting the wheel.
We carry out a low-frequency ring hardening without junction points on 100% of the surface. This circular hardening completely covers the tread without affecting the flanges which would otherwise become too hard, with the risk of breakage.
In our INNOMECC wheels we offer a 450/500 HB hardness with 10/12 mm dept. We can also offer a customizable heat treatment hardness, where specifically requested.
